Access Control Systems

An access control system is about electronically controlling people in accessing entry to premises in an organized manner. Access control systems can also act as deterrents to crime in office set ups as well as private homes. Basically, there are 3 types of access control systems;

  • Biometric,
  • Card Access and
  • Keypad Access Systems

Biometric systems use thumb/finger prints, Card Access use thin cards that can also be used for identification with photographs and printed info about the holder, Keypads are used where digital numbers are to be allocated to each user and each number can also be tagged onto a user and therefore can be identified if logs are to be kept.
